Meagan and the salsa

One day Meagan got into the cupboards. After many times of dropping the salsa on the floor she must have loosened the lid and it popped off. Jessica came in from the backroom to find her enjoying her new discovery. Jess yelled for me, and when I came into the kitchen she was having so much fun playing in the salsa and eating it by the handful. She was a mess. But it was so cute. She thought it was funThis album is powered by BubbleShare - Add to my blog!!

the kitchen is done

The kitchen is finally done. We love it so much. Wish we would have done this a long time ago. I think it even makes the kitchen look bigger. It was worth the wait!!This album is powered by BubbleShare - Add to my blog

our trip to gaylord palms

This album is powered by

We took a trip to Orlando after Christmas. Rod's parents went with us and Gay Armstrong, and Jay and Lillian Lucas. We went to the Gaylord Palms hotel which is similar to the Opryland Hotel. It's really a neat place. They had a Ice show going on that we wanted to see. It was a chilly 9* in that portion. It took us about 30 minutes to go through. It was totally awesome how they can create such things out of ice. They had 40 chinese sculpturer's flown in to do this. It was so neat to see. Of course the rest of the hotel is pretty neat to see as well. The picture of the Sailboat is a restaurant in the hotel. We did eat there on one occasion when we were there before. Prices were kinda high, but fare. It's definately a place you should see if your ever in Orlando.

still working

Well we finally have all the tile laid and are getting ready to grout it in. Hopefully we can get back to normal this weekend in the kitchen. I am so excited to finally get the work started, but it is such a pain when your house is tore up. Especially the kitchen. That's our most used room in the house!! It makes it especially hard to make lunches for 4 kids for school. But we have survived. It is looking good. I'm so glad we switched from laminate to tile. Now only if I don't drop and break all my dishes. I told Rod I guess I'll just get new that way. He wasn't impressed! My new countertops come tomorrow too. So I have to clear off my counters this evening so Rod can get those tore out tonight. This has been a long awaited project.
It all started this summer with our refridgerator leaking from the water line, while we were out of town. We came home to a floor that was all buckled up. After waiting on Insurance to check it out, we finally got the floor repaired. And were still waiting on cabinets to be replaced. Then around November our washer decided to overflow and run all over the kitchen. We had a mess again!! So finally , we have decided laminate was not a good choice for our kitchen. So we are replacing with tile. Hope we like it!! But I do already!!
Poor Tim is feeling sick! He's working hard! I appreciate it Tim!! Probably got germs from our germ infested house. The flu has went through the whole family except for Rod. He's loaded with vitamins and Airborne. hope he doesn't get it.
Hope to have pictures to share !

Remodeling

Well this is a new thing for me. Everyone else is doing it, so thought I would try it to. What a day to start blogging, we are in the middle of tearing up the kitchen. Thanks to our good friend Tim Teed who is taking a few days off from trucking to lay my tile. We are slowly making progress. Thanks to Lucy our bassett hound who wants to try and walk through on the freshly laid tile, we have had to straighten it up again. But it's looking good so far. I'm trying to take pictures as we go. Will let you know how it goes. We are ordering pizza for supper since we have no appliances to cook with. Must go get it!! Bye for now......
