Happy 40th Rod!!

Today is Rod's 40th birthday. The big 4-0 has hit! So for birthday # 3 in the month of March we had another party on Sunday afternoon. As usual a houseful of people, lots of food including chicken, pork chops, potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese , fresh baked bread, and of course cake and ice cream.
Good friend Cindy Marroquin baked the cake as usual and she just had to get Rod back for all the times he's picked on her. You must look at all aspects and sides of the cake. It was quite cute!

Meagan's party

I'm a little behind in posting from Meagan's birthday. But here are a few pictures anyhow. She dug right into the chocolate cake. This child loves anything chocolate!! And later when the gifts were opened she had fun finding the money!
She has really started jabbering lately and is coming up with her own language. She keeps us going. We have enjoyed her so much!!

Meagan Decided she liked looking at the cards once she found out what was inside some of them

Happy Birthday Meagan

Two years ago today we were graced with the presence of Meagan Sierra Brown. Meagan was the first one in the family to be born at home. A neat experience we will never forget. Meagan has been the highlight of our home for the past two years. She has kept everyone on their toes and laughing too. She has been such a joy! We wouldn't trade her for anything in this world.
Happy 2nd birthday Meagan. We love you lots!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Brittany!

Sixteen years ago today our family was blessed with a little girl. Brittany Nicole Brown graced us with her presence at 2:41 p.m. She weighed in at 7lbs 13 oz. Brittany has grown up so fast and has become a blessing to this family. Because she is the oldest in the house she has alot of responsibility. She has to babysit alot and help out around the house. She has been such a big help and we appreciate everything she does for us. My plan was to post pictures of her childhood, but time has not allowed me to do it at this time.
Britt we just want you to know we love you and appreciate you. Hope you had a wonderful birthday. Happy sweet Sixteen!

Aloha!! Sweet Sixteen

Let's start from the beginning. Brittany's older sister Alexa had planned to fly down and surprise Brittany for her big 16th birthday party. So with plans made and a ticket bought we all kept our mouths shut in hopes of keeping it a surprise. Amazingly it worked. So Lex was due to fly in on Friday night. Of course we needed and excuse for leaving. So the plan was Rod & I had a meeting to go to. Actually we did have a meeting, just not the boring type. We had to meet someone at the airport. This was Lex's first time to fly, so she had an experience to get through. She was flying through Atlanta(what an airport for the first time) Luckily her gates were very close together. She arrived early and we were able to get home to some surprised kids.Below is a picture at the airport in the elevator after finding luggage.

Below is a short video of when we walked in the door to surprise Brittany. As usual she was on the phone and hung up on her friend.

Brittany decided she wanted a hawaiian theme for her party. So we had to come up with something to the lua effect. She invited everyone in her class and a few other friends along with some of our family friends . We went to a local park by the water. A beautiful spot and a nice day. Not to hot or too cool. We had a few games like water balloon toss and the limbo. I think all the people around our spot thought we were crazy. All these teenagers chasing each other and having a good time. When the cake fight broke out the neighboring people in the next shelter was cheering for Brittany to get the person she was chasing. Below are some pictures from the afternoon.
