Niagara Falls

On Monday July 9th we headed to Canada with the Chess's to see Niagara Falls. Rod has seen it from New york before but not Canada, and myself and the kids have never seen it before. We had a fun time and really enjoyed the view.

This was Neat. On the turnpike in New York this was a rest area with parking on both sides of the highway(north or South bound lanes)You had to walk through this walkway over the highway to get to the restrooms and food places. The kids thought this was neat that they could stand over a semi.

Here we are waiting to get through customs to go into Canada

Here we are walking down toward the falls. Our family with Kimmy, Roger & Amy Chess

Brittany took this one of herself. Looks pretty good!

Pennsylvania here we come!

We actually arrived in PA. on Sunday afternoon July 8th at our friends Roger & Kimmy Chess. They treated us to a big scrumptious lunch and then we headed outside to have some fun. The kids were dying to check out all 3 ponds and see some fish. They also rode the 4 wheeler and had some shooting practice. Zach was in heaven when he saw all the fish and wanted to throw a line in right away. So he got his wish. Below you'll see his catch. We got to enjoy being outdoors and had alot of fun just in the first day . We ended the evening at a belated 4th party at Kimmy's son's and the kids got to play and see some fireworks. We had a great time that first day!

Zach saw these big catfish and he was in heaven. Right away he wanted to fish and catch one.

Roger fed the fish and was able to get a big one to take the bait and get him on a line for him.

Zach is still trying to real it in!

Wow! look what he caught!

Zach is learning how to change gears!

Brittany is refreshing her memory on changing gears!

Meagan found a cat , so she was happy!

Zach getting ready to shoot his bb-gun!

Jessica is learning how to aim and shoot at some pop cans! She actually hit one!

Britt thought she had to take me on a ride through the woods!

Meagan wasn't sure about all this at first, but loved it before the ride ended!

Britt had to try and shoot the bb gun too!

We ended the evening at a belated 4th of July party. The kids were playing with some sparklers and having fun!

Having fun!

Well, we have traveled many miles and done many things. I have many pictures to post, but I have had trouble using our internet card in the laptop. We seem to have low coverage this time. Don't know why. But we have been to D.C as you can see , on to Pa. , Through New York into Canada to See Niagara Falls, Back to Pa. and enjoyed time with friends, onto Ohio to visit Rod's Aunt and then on to visit my parents and Rod's. We are ending week 2 of vacation and we have taken many pictures and have many memories and had lots of fun. Hopefully I can post them soon.Rod went to Michigan for training for about 2 1/2 days and will be home late tonight. We have several more people to see and things to do. I remembered after he left with the van that McDonalds should possibly have wireless internet available. (But then in this small town , maybe not) But as I turned on my laptop, it decided to die(low battery)And I realized the cord was in the van. Just my luck. So as I wait for his return tonight, I sit here on dial-up internet,(Not use to that) So I have no access to my pics on my computer. So, you'll have to wait and see them later. I hope I can post them soon!Hope everyone is having a good summer! Talk to you soon!

Family picture time

This is a first for our family. We have never been able to get everyone to decide that they would get a family picture done. So it was chaotic getting everyone dressed and put together, but the end results didn't turn out too bad. We had 10 people to deal with, so getting everyone to cooperate and smile at once was quite a task, but I'm satisfied with the end product. Below is the results!

Our Washington D.C. trip

Well, we made it to Washington D.C. on Saturday. And the area was packed. We saw alot, but I know we probably missed alot too. It's been hard to post any pictures because we have been in the hills of Pensylvania with no internet and very little cell phone coverage. We are in a better area now, but this has still taken me well over an hour and a half to download the pictures. I have many more pictures of D.C. but decided to just highlight a few. We are now into the end of week one of our vacation. And we haven't all murdered each other yet. Yeah!

Britt was thrilled to know that there was Starbucks in the area, even though she didn't get one.

Rod liked the older areas and thought these houses or townhomes whatever they are were pretty neat

The Washington Monument

The Lincoln Memorial

A Sculpture outside the Pentagon

We stumbled into the Pentagon parking lot trying to get on the highway

This was a nice bench we passed as we walked to the Capitol Building

The Hall Of Justice

This was one of the Senate buildings

I'm not sure what this building was, but there is alot of writing on top of the building

Walking towards the Capitol Building

The family on the Capitol Building Steps

This was kinda neat, there were a bunch of police officer's together behind the fence at the Capitol Building, and from what we could make out, We think they were praying. They definately need to pray for protection!

Oh, The adventure!

Lets just say we have had an adventure getting started on vacation. We started off by not leaving when we wanted to because the tires didn't come in like they were suppose to. Then we found out the inside tires needed changed to. So that was another day waiting for those to come in. Then when they changed the inside tires they found out the brakes needed changed and they couldn't get to them for another day. So Rod ventured to change them himself. FUN! That was a time consuming job, but finally accomplished. As we finally started to leave the car dolly was giving us fits, so needless to say it was several hours getting all the kinks worked out with it, but we finally made it on the road, only to smell something that smelled like it was burning. We figured out it was the new brake pads rubbing hard. Well after many hours on the road and a few days later we got to the location just between North and South Carolina called South Of The Border. We stopped and let the kids get out for awhile and walk around. Here are some pictures.

Wow! What a long dog!!

Which purse shall I buy?

The 2x4's are up!

This will be where the reception desk area will be. And to the right will be a conference room.

This is looking toward the back from the front waiting area. Straight back will be the training room for seminars etc. To the right will be 3 separate offices.

Well, we are making progress on the new office. The 2x4's are up, so it's starting to look like something. We can now actually tell where the offices and reception and training area will be. It's becoming a reality that we will eventually have our own office and not be sharing any common areas with anyone else. It's exciting to say the least, and we can only hope that things will boom when we can actually be seen from the road and people will know where we are. At our present place we are back off the road so you can't tell exactly where we are. We are hoping to be in our new offices by September 1st. So , I get the fun job of shopping for office furniture, decorations and whatever else we might need. But , I think we have awhile till we get to that stage. I'll post more pictures as we progress.
