Our mini trip

Although we only went South to Ft. Lauderdale/ Hollywood area about an hour and a half south of home, we still had a nice relaxing time. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza on the intracoastal waterway. It was a very nice place. Really not alot of restraunts around to eat at. After driving all over Saturday night we ended up at a local pizza place. Turned out to be a pretty good little place. We did some shopping and just relaxing. A much needed getaway. Since we are in the office 5 days a week 8-9 hrs a day, there isn't much time to spend doing much else but taking care of the kids and the homefront. Below are a few pictures.

We ordered room service Sunday morning

Happy Anniversary!!!

Today Rod & I celebrate 18 yrs. of marriage. I must say those years have went by quickly. I am happy to say that we have enjoyed every day together. Rod is my very best friend, and I can't imagine doing anything without him. We have laughed together, cried together and had alot of fun together. Although as most marriages have their ups and downs I must say ours has usually been up. We never fight. Might get a little irritated at each other occasionally , but we never say a cross word to each other. Although we have had a few bumps in the road(lost a house to fire in 97 and whatever else arose from that) I must say life has been pretty good together. I hope the next 18 yrs are just as good or better.
We spent a few days away this weekend to refresh ourselves and have some quiet time. Although We have missed the kids dearly. I look forward to returning home relaxed and refreshed to start the madhouse all over again.
I Love you Rod! May we have many more years together!

Happy birthday Lex!

Twenty Two years ago today Alexa Renee graced us with her presence. She has grown up so fast! I'm beginning to feel old. I hope you have had a nice birthday even though we can't be there to celebrate with you!

Happy Birthday Bob

Grandpa Brown's birthday was April 3rd. He was leaving to go back to Ohio on the 2nd so Brittany baked him some of his favorite brownies and we added candles and sang to him the night before he left. He always enjoyed coming down about every night to read with the kids before bedtime. The kids are going to miss him.

Old Cars

Last weekend we took a family day and headed to Vero beach , about 60 mile North of us, to an old car show. Grandpa Brown loves old cars and so we all went to see them. This was Bob's last weekend here before heading back North for the Summer. It was the perfect day. Warm ,but breezy. We looked at all the cars and had a relaxing afternoon with family.

Easter Fun

As usual I am a little behind times. I always have good intentions , but work seems to stay so busy that I don't have time to do anything at work but work. So here we are weeks later blogging about Easter. Below are pictures of the kiddos coloring eggs. Or at least attempting. They received new phones that day with unlimited texting, so we had to try it out. Old contracts were up and it was time to update. So I think the excitement was more in the phones than the eggs. Meagan had fun anyways. She had multiple colors on her hands and arms. She could have been one big egg herself.

At least Meagan enjoyed coloring eggs.

I Really like this new phone. Who cares about eggs!

Should I text or color eggs?
