From coloring to hiding to searching

With Easter being this past weekend it definately made for a full few days. Saturdays at our house is a day for cleaning, grocery shopping and whatever else has been neglected all week. So, Saturdays are always full without any extra things to do. Rod & I woke up early so we decided to rush out and finish up the easter basket shopping and getting the groceries needed for Sunday dinner. We went to breakfast and then we went shopping hoping to beat the crowd. When we came home we worked around the house getting everyone motivated to get their jobs done quickly so we could finish getting the rest of the Easter outfits that had not been bought. Oh, something I hate, last minute shopping! After searching many stores in the mall to find a shirt to match a skirt bought several days earlier , we finally found one that would do. Did any of you notice their didn't seem to be many spring colors this year? anyhow, after several attempts to find another outfit, we finally found one at the final moments of closing down the mall. ahh! Such relief! I hate such stress. well, we finally made it home to color eggs. Yes, the dreaded eggs, at 10pm. Why oh why! After I had hoped to do it earlier in the day, my plans never seem to work. Well we finally got them done. Poor Meagan kinda conked out on us, but we revived her to color the final egg. What we do for memories. After finally getting everyone to bed, this easter bunny was too tired to finish up the baskets, so I called it a night, got up early to hide the eggs, which we only do in the living room and dining room and finish up the baskets. The kids enjoy the thrill of hunting the eggs. Meagan actually found one of the boiled eggs and decided to take a bite and peal off the shell. She was cute to watch when she actually figured it all out. We made it through the egg hunt and had breakfast and actually made it to church a few minutes early. What a record for us. It was a beautiful day weatherwise, and we ended the night with a wonderful Easter musical at church. I think it was one of the better ones yet. You all should check it out in the church website archives. I hope everyone had a nice Easter and remembers why we celebrate it.
