July 4th Activities

This past Friday July 4th our church did something different from past years. We had a big community day. I wasn't sure how well it would go because as usual we had our afternoon showers and I thought it would keep people away. As it turned out quite a few showed up. They had plenty of food items to choose from such as Hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, starbucks drinks, pina colada and strawberry slushy drinks and plenty of ice cold water bottles. The kids had a great time between the eating and the fun bounce houses.Below are a few pictures from the evening.

A picture of some of the capable chefs of the evening- with 3 grills going

Jessica enjoyed the cotton candy

Meagan really liked the cotton candy, think she had 3 in all- can you say Sugar High!

However Meagan did not like the bounce house. Why is it they always like to jump on everything they shouldn't and when they can jump they don't like it?

Rod trying another round of trying to get her into another one. Still not thrilled!

They had a tent out by the bounce houses giving away t-shirts to the kids with the name of the upcoming vacation bible school on it.

Here's Andrea holding up her shirt.

Here's Jessica trying her hand going down the slide. It had started to drizzle again so made it a little more interesting.

Andrea had her turn.

Zach's turn.

This shirt fit's Meagan! "Forever Daddy's Girl"

Jeff Teed and his wife Heather and little girl Katie came over for awhile

Katie loved the bounce house!!

They also had a small petting zoo! Here's Jessica holding a rabbit.
