One Flew the coop!

Today was a new adventure! Brittany flew to Ohio today to see Grandma & Grandpa Schaub and older sister Lex for a week. It's been many years since we have flown with the kids, so Brittany hasn't had much experience flying. Today she flew out of here on a Jet Plane all by herself. I think she was a little nervous. I know I was! This mom just isn't ready to let go yet. My kids are not allowed to grow up! Brittany is 16 now, and although I trust her, I don't trust anyone else.
Her dad took her to the airport because I knew I could not! I would have been a basket case to say the least. According to him she did quite well! As usual her plane was delayed for takeoff and of course delayed on landing. But her older sister was there with a starbucks Frappucino to greet her. She landed safely on the other end and at this point thats all that matters! They have lots of fun things planned and she should have a great time.
Below are a few pictures.

This was at the office before they left for the airport. Don't I look horrible. It was all I could do not to cry!

Rod returned with these beautiful Roses. Guess he thought I needed a boost.

Super Heroes

As you can tell I haven't had much to blog about lately. Work and home is about all I get to do. So Thursday nights at the local Chick-Fil-A is family night from 5-8 pm. They usually have a free item they give out, one week was a brownie and another ice cream. And they also have different things like face painting or something for the kids. So this week we ventured to Chick-Fil-A again. I had forgotten that this whole week was customer appreciation week so various things were going on. So as we arrived we saw all kinds of people in costumes. It was Super Hero night. Several store employees were dressed in super hero outfits. It was quite interesting! The kids really thought it was great and were amused by it all

This was batman. He came to the rescue with an umbrella because it was pouring outside. He came to your car and walked you in under cover or walked you out to your car.

This guy is the manager of the store. Really nice guy! He was dressed as Mr. Incredible. He said he was trying to write a song about the cows- SUPER-COWA-FRAGILISTIC- HA!

This was one of 2 cows walking around the store. Meagan absolutely hated these guys. She screamed and cried everytime they came near our table!

Superman made his appearance too!

Brittany just had to get a picture with the cow and Batman!

Zach with the Incredible Hulk

And this was hilarious! One of the cows kept coming by our table while the other kids were playing in the play area. So Meagan wasn't around to freak out. He grabbed a crayon (they put paper on the tables so kids could draw) and he had seen us taking pictures so he wrote: I'm a cool cow, put the pic on myspace!

Here below is another time he came by and did the souja boy dance for us. Britt got a video! Sorry it's sideways, but you get the point.

Happy Father's Day!!

I just want to wish the very best husband in the world a Happy Father's Day. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father to my children. He's not afraid to change a diaper, clean up any messes that might arise with anyone of them or be the disciplinarian. I love You Rod, you're the best! This picture is slightly a few years old and actually pre- Meagan, but Once again all my updated family pictures are on my laptop which bit the dust.

Below is the best DAD in the world! He taught me alot growing up and I couldn't have asked for a better dad. This picture was his surprise Father's day present from Lex givin to him yesterday. Isn't it a cool Ride! John Deere all the Way!

Last but not least the best father-in-law goes to Rod's dad. He's very thoughtful and love's to spend time with his grankids when he's down for the winters.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today I celebrate birthday # 42. Woo Hoo! I don't feel a day over 39!Ha! Any how, almost forgot what day it was till We woke up and Rod wished me Happy Birthday. Of course this week we decided to hit the diet an excercise hard, and seems like everyone is offering sweets this week. Uggh! Well Rod graciously went and bought me a sandwich for lunch and a Chocolate cake for the office staff to indulge in at lunch. It was yummy as usual! From our local bakery Banbury Cross! They even let me come home this afternoon. Yippee! I'm so stuffed I can't move. Not sure I will accomplish anything. Guess I will relax . I deserve it don't I?

Party Time

Last Friday was the last day of school for Brittany. She is definately happy about that! But also one of her best friends Katelyn Miles is moving away to Ohio this summer. So Britt and a few other friends got together and decided to plan a going away party for Katelyn and her brother Zach. That in itself was fun, but we won't go into those details. This was to be a surprise, So when they invited most of the high school with flyers , it made for an interesting time hoping that none of those flyers would be found by Katelyn once they were handed out. They just so happened to be able to hand them out on a day that Katelyn took off school to help prepare for her sister's wedding. Luckily they were able to pull it off and the party was a suprise after all. So much so that the ones in charge of getting Katelyn and her brother to the party destination was a little difficult. But they mad it and hopefully they had a good time.
Brittany will truly miss Katelyn when she leaves, but hopefully she will get to see her since we go home to Ohio at least once a year.
Good Luck Katelyn and the whole Miles family on your move!
Of course their are pictures!

This-N-That

This blog is long overdue. I'm so far behind. This time of year is just too busy. The end of the school year has finally arrived. Yesterday was the last day of school for the younger three. And today is the last day for Brittany. She has 2 more exams to finalize today and she'll be out by lunch. Yippee!! No more packing lunches and scrambling to get out the door. I'm so ready for the break. Not sure how long it will last because I know I will get a million phone calls all day long about so and so won't do this or that and someone hit me or won't clean their room or do what they were told. I can hear it all now! I may be ready for school to start next week so I have at least 6 hours a day of peace!

Zachary did end up with a bike donated by none other than Us! We had to go find that special bike that was on sale because the brake line had a kink in it. But he is very excited !

Can you say" ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY TWO FRONT TEETH"

Andrea lost two front teeth within days of each other. So now we have a really bad lisp. I sure hope they arrive soon or she'll be singing that christmas tune.
